receipt run
where a receipt goes after the beep
Every till in Kazakhstan sends its receipts to a fiscal data operator, which signs them and passes them on to the tax office. It takes about a second and nobody ever sees it. This is that second, slowed down and given a machine - press the button and watch the tape come out, in any of the four ways the printer could be telling you it is working, including badly.

Eleven steps, and most of them are a reason rather than an instruction: the phase timings and why printing breaks them, the four feeds, the slot trick that gets paper out of an opening instead of out from under a machine, the opaque rail fill, the dash pattern that makes a ring spin without rotating, the two seeds behind the code, and what has to survive reduced motion.
